Please note: pre-registration is mandatory and includes a request to provide a one-sentence dancer profile as well as a headshot. The registration link will close at 5pm on Friday, May 4. Please plan accordingly.

NEW Dances 2018 Choreographers; Melissa Thodos, Artistic Director Thodos Dance Chicago; and Julie Nakagawa, Artistic Director DanceWorks Chicago, will conduct the audition on Sunday, May 6. Each dancer will hear back regarding the status of their audition by Wednesday, May 16. Selected dancers will be cast in two NEW dances and receive an honorarium of $550 for the 3-week project:
- June 11 – June 22: creative period (company class will be provided at 9:30am, followed by rehearsals until 4:30pm)
- June 16: informal showing for mentorship panel, 4pm-8pm
- June 26-28: production period, 5pm-8pm
- Friday, June 29 and Sunday, July 1: NEW Dances 2018 performances
All activities will be conducted at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. Schedule subject to change.
